Venetian Reflection

This work, on Arches Huile paper, was a challenge because of the sky and structures reflected in the foreground. I used many layers of various, not always subtle, hues to make it work for me. The buildings too, one area bleached out by intense sunlight, had my gray cells spinning because of the great contrast to the rich, full tones of the central object. and the need to balance the entire piece. I hope my problem solving composition of a wonderful moment in Venice, connects with your inner world.
