This Public Art Mural is located on the south side of H & H Lounge at 717 Hope Street in Shreveport, LA. This mural is a remembrance of the founders of H & H Lounge along with the key staff.. It also highlights the community spirit and down home atmosphere of the lounge.. H & H Lounge which is situated at the crossroads of 3 historically Black Neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are The Bottom ( Ledbetter Heights), Lakeside and Allendale. During the gang violence of the 80’s and 90 ‘s until the closing of the Lounge in 2005, H & H Lounge provided a safe environment to enjoy the nightlife for the residents of these rival neighborhoods . A safe place to party without the gang violence
