Inspired by one of the most polemic and important women of all time. This work is designed so that at first sight your eyes meet the eyes of Maria. The eyes and emotion of my Maria express acceptance and crossed hands to what destiny had prepared for her. Maria was not only chosen for being a virgin, she was a brave woman, strong of character. I adorn Maria with cowbell earrings and a crown like a queen, because all women should be treated like queens. Allow your gaze to continue on to my red cows: my signature and why I live in Louisiana. And finally a blue bird. It’s blue because of the blue jays I see; I paint birds because I wish I had their wings. All this in a pink background full of flowers that represent calm and new paths..
