ROBERT STREETER
A FOREST OF TRASH GLASS
by Robert Streeter
MEDIUM Glass, resin, light
During the process of glassblowing, there’s usually leftover glass or pieces that crack and shatter. This trash glass often is thrown away. I wanted to save some of that glass from the landfill. So I created abstract ‘branches’ using clear and trash glass. Then, I set the sculpture on a LED lightbox so that the different lights show off the unique colors.
