The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a short film created by MOONBOT Studios, an initiative of William Joyce, Lampton Enochs and Brandon Oldenburg.  Inspired, in equal measures, by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a poignant, humorous allegory about the curative powers of story.  Brandon Oldenburg shares, “Everyone’s life is a story and we have moments when a storm can come along and wipe it out requiring us to start over.  Morris takes us his journey to start over.”

The exhibition was comprised of the highly technical miniature sets designed and built with incredible craftsmanship by MOONBOT Studios and is organized in a narrative layout so that guests can experience the film as it was made as they walk through it.  Tours of the exhibition will engage guests in the creative process that is undergone by the artists and demonstrate how an idea is refined in layers through story and character development.  Schools, families, film/animation enthusiasts, and individuals interested in story-telling through artistic mediums are encouraged to take a guided tour of the exhibition.
