A young squirrel named PEMDAS decides math is a silly game to play. But once he gets lost in the woods, a new friend shows him it can be fun to follow the steps back home. Written and illustrated by a math teacher, each step to solving the math problem is shown simply and clearly, with the abstract numbers and operations facing whimsical watercolor characters and a plot to make the problem meaningful and memorable.

My mission is to present children’s books about math written at a level that is accessible to very young children and their parents or siblings who read to them. I hope the stories and illustrations spark excitement about math.
