THE GIRL WITH THE SECRET

The artwork “The girl with a secret” continues my exploration of using natural materials to create a portrait. This portrait is a product of my fascination with drawing human faces and an ongoing investigation of the different possibilities of drawing.

I am interested in combining charcoal and mica powder to create sparkle. Using cold wax is a new experiment. The introduction of this new MEDIUM turns into a fascinating way to draw/paint with dry pigments.

Creating this portrait is pure joy and frustration at the same time. But, it is a process that continues to flue my passion for art-making.
