“Miss Basil the Troll always enjoys traveling the forests of her home and finding new, delightful mushrooms to add to the garden she carries atop herself. She loves her garden and treats it with the utmost tenderness and care. If you happen to meet her and treat her well, she may give you one of her precious fungi from her back.”

This piece was an attempt by me to push the limits of everything I know about digital illustration, line art, coloring, and see how far I could go with a subject I enjoy. I spent my entire time working on this with the single thought of, “I want Bill Joyce to see this and think ‘that looks cool.”
