Chipp Kidd : Batman Black and White

HOLY HUNDREDS OF BLACK AND WHITE BATMAN COVERS!! Chip Kidd, one of the greatest and most renowned graphic designers in the world, is also known as one of the world’s greatest Batman aficionados, and he brought his Manhattan Batman exhibition, “Batman Black and White: Sketch Covers, Commissioned by Chip Kidd” to Mainspace ARTSPACE in downtown Shreveport on June 24, 2022.


SOLO

Four artists and poets showcased the resilience of the local arts scene after the cancellation of the 2020 Solo Show due to the pandemic. Winners of the "Best of Show" at Critical Mass 9 and 10, the artists presented diverse and captivating solo exhibitions, offering glimpses into their creative minds. The event, initiated by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council, highlighted the vibrant talent of Northwest Louisiana and marks a two-year culmination of Critical Mass Critics' Choice Awards.


Holidaze 2022

ARTSPACE was decked top to bottom with paintings, handmade ornaments, wooden boxes, pet accessories, photography, bags, stuffed creations, caricatures, quilts and more original art created by Northwest Louisiana Artists.

The Artists of Northwest Louisiana are the ones whose talents create the rich cultural fabric of our region. HOLIDAZE showcases the creativity that defines the Art scene of Northwest Louisiana and is the perfect opportunity to explore the many facets of the Arts and to support creatives.

CRITICAL MASS 10

Critical Mass 2022… a double-digit decade marking the determination, drive, and do it like it’s never been done before attitude that Shreveport Regional Arts Council puts into celebrating the best visual and literary art of more than 100 Northwest Louisiana artists. Critical Mass 10 brings professional critical review to encourage the artists of the region to “up their game,” awards a $2,000 commission to those artists named “Best” by nationally acclaimed critics, and features a never-before-seen retrospective of winners of the last nine years of Critical Mass.
