The conjuring of the red river

Dennis McNett

Artist and Skateboarder Dennis McNett was first introduced to Shreveport art lovers during “Generationless - Skateboarders are Artists, Too”. A sculptor and installation artist working under the artist’s name, WOLFBAT, Dennis has work exhibited and created all over the nation. During his month-long residency, McNett has transformed the first floor of artspace into a giant interactive experience that conjures the Steamships, people and spirits of the Red River.

Uncertainty in the I’mpossible

Whitney Newsom

Of all subjects, people are a fantastic reservoir for inspiration, culturally and psychologically, We so often doubt ourselves and what social parameters we fit within. Adornment and materialistic possessions become a veil for our bodies, thoughts, emotions, and our relationships with the outside world. Beyond the surface, who are we really? Beneath the facade and the fear, what truly exists? This exhibition challenges this idea of identity and the possibility of discovering truth within ourselves, leaving no room for deception.
