Be A Sport Downtown on the Third Thursday Trolley, November 21!
Pull out your favorite team jersey for the upcoming Sports-themed Third Thursday Trolley Tour!
On Thursday, November 21, 5-8 pm, the Third Thursday Trolley will pick and roll to different downtown ‘Sports Spots’ to celebrate the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks first season and as a warm-up to the upcoming Advocare V100 Bowl.
It’s “Ready, Set, Hut” for a trolley ride that will run you toward the goal line at Community Trust Bank’s new community room, where you will have the chance to get your picture in the helmets of teams who have played in past Independence Bowls, win prizes based on your I-Bowl trivia knowledge and be able to pick up tickets for the December 31st bowl game.
From there, you will run to the Shreveport Convention Center, home to the Ark-La-Tex Sports Museum of Champions. You will have the chance to talk to former inductees, current athletes and museum board members as you peruse important area sports memorabilia. During your stop at the Sports Museum, you will also take part in a Scavenger Hunt designed to show your knowledge of local sports legends.
We know that sports are not for everyone, so there is some lagniappe planned along the way. The trolley will also be stopping at the new Central Artstation for an entrepreneurial art exhibition.
The Third Thursday Trolley always begins and ends at artspace, 710 Texas Street. It rolls from 5-8 pm, is free and open to the public and this tour is appropriate for all age groups.
