Shreveport Symphony Orchestra welcomes the community to hear Music Director Michael Butterman speak on the upcoming Symphony performance of “A KEYBOARD EXTRAVAGANZA” featuring the music of guest artists:  Alon Goldstein and Stanislav Loudenitch.

This event is FREE and open to the community.   The cash bar will include Martini’s and other libations.

A Keyboard Extravaganza” will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:30 PM  at the First Baptist Church of Shreveport.

Two world-renowned pianists light up the stage with their dazzling virtuosity. Wideman Competition Gold Medalists Alon Goldstein and Stanislav Ioudenitch have played with the world’s greatest orchestras since their triumphs in Shreveport, and now are returning to RESOUND with the Shreveport SymphonyOrchestra (on Van Cliburn’s Alon Goldstein, pianopiano, no less!). After intermission, the keyboard celebration is completed with the melodic and powerful “Organ Symphony” of Saint-Saëns.
